Audrey Marie Daigle was born in Chatagnier, La on November 15, 1930 to the union of Andrus Arthlee and Amy Fontenot. Audrey Marie Daigle, at the age of ninety three (93) departed this life on Wednesday, March 19, 2024 at the Eunice Manor Nursing Home at 10:40pm. Her faith in Jesus Christ was evident at a very early age. She grew up around the Chatagnier/Ville Platte area. Audrey's first child with her husband , Merdic Jones, was Ella Marie Jones. She later had a son, Albert Luben Jr. with her second husband Albert Luben Sr. Then she fell deeply in love and married Jessie Daigle. Audrey and Jessie married in 1963 and moved to California. They both lived there for thirty (30) years until they retired. Audrey loved running a Day Care Center . After retiring , Jessie and Audrey moved back to Eunice, Louisiana to live a quiet simple life. Living in Eunice she loved playing Bingo, watching soap operas on tv, shopping for pretty purses, and being with family and friends. Aunt Audrey loved when Poochie, Brandy, Chucky, Mallory, and Carson came to visit with her in the nursing home.
Cherishing fond memories of Audrey : three (3) nieces: Bonnie Ventress of Eunice, LA, Nomozmo (Baye) Iyanu of Baton Rouge, La, and Jackqueline Terry of Crowley, La; one (1) nephew : Woodman Poullard of Picayune, Mississippi and a host of other nieces and nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents: Andrus Arthlee and Amy Fontenot; her husband , Jessie Daigle; two (2) children, Ella Marie Jones and Albert Luben Jr; one (1) sister, Sabastine Fontenot; two (2) brothers, Joseph Watson and Marshall Guillory.
