Life began for Bro. John Melvin Benjamin Jr. "Benji" as the child born to the union of John Melvin Benjamin Sr. and Febia Annette Frank of Dallas, Tx.  His adulthood was spent in Eunice where he attended school.  He Worked at a construction plant for over 10 years & various other jobs.

He leaves to cherish fond memories his mother, Febia Annette Frank Monroe, 3 sons: Joshua Ivory of Lake Charles, La,  D'Leland Belew of Galveston, Tx & Kaleb Gothe of Lafayette, La. 3 step-sisters:  Kay Francis Benjamin of Lewisville, Tx; Donna K. Benjamin & Bridget Lee both of Dallas,Tx;   2 Aunts:  Joan Thomas & Mary Jane Thomas of Elton, La & a host of family & friends.
