On February 26, 1993, Shanice Mandelynn Quashwan Simms entered this world with a spirit that was uniquely her own. Born to Annabelle Andrus and Alonzo Simms. Shanice grew to become a beloved daughter, sister, mother and friend filling the lives of those around her with laughter, love, and memories that will forever be treasured. On October 8, 2026 at the age of 33, Shanice's earthly journey came to an end, leaving behind a love that could never be measured in years alone.
To know Shanice was to love her. She was a free spirit in every sense of the word-funny, playful, and full of personality. Shanice has a great love for crawfish and some called her the "Crawfish Lady". She loved to laugh, joke, dance, sing, and simply enjoy life. Whether surrounded by family or friends, she had a way of making even the simplest moments memorable. She was unapologetically herself and that was one of the many things that made her so special.
Shanice was a beautiful creative soul and had a genuine love for the arts. She also enjoyed reading and writing songs. Her strength and resilience were just as much a part of her carefree spirit. She met life with a smile, an easygoing attitude and a remarkable ability to find joy in the moment.
