Obituary

William Cullivan was born to Somonia Morrison and William Vigus on August 27, 1981, in Eunice, Louisiana. From a young age, he embraced his faith by accepting Christ as his Lord and Savior. In his childhood, William was also an award-winning tennis player and received his yellow belt in Taekwondo. In 1988, he moved to Texas with his family and later graduated from Bowie High School in Arlington. William began his career as a short-order cook and then transitioned to the auto industry.
Will enjoyed trying new activities, cooking, watching movies, and spending time outdoors. He was passionate about fishing, gardening, and appreciating nature. A lover of cooking he specialized in Louisiana dishes, earning the nickname "Chef Will". The simplest pleasures, such as a fresh cup of coffee in the morning brought great joy to Will.
Family was central to William's life. He was deeply interested in his family history, dedicating his time to researching and understanding his ancestry. An avid history enthusiast, he had extensive knowledge of the Bible, Black History, and current international affairs. William's interest in Black History was not just academic: he actively participated in online forums and discussion boards, helping to educate others about the significant contributions of Black individuals throughout history. He also took his spirituality seriously, incorporating it into his daily life. William was also a huge fan of Michael Jackson. His admiration went beyond being a fan: he learned all of the Michael Jackson iconic dance moves. William took great pride in being a fun supportive uncle, known affectionately as Uncle Will by his niece and nephew. He cherished being heavily involved in their important moments such as birthdays, school events, and milestones.
Will was a beacon of wisdom and serenity, inspiring those around him to seek inner peace and understanding. His selfless actions touched countless lives, encouraging others to live with intention and kindness. His legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him, reminding them of the importance of community, heritage, and personal growth.
Williams life marked by generosity and a commitment to helping others will always be celebrated. He was a man described as fun, loving, caring, and protective of his loved ones. He had a jovial spirit and kept others laughing while in his presence. There was never a dull moment being around him.
His life was a testament to the strength of his family and the impact one person can have on the world around them. He touched many lives with his compassion and open heart.
