William Henry "Lil Bro" Love was born on January 7,1938 to Emma B. Mason and Leon Charles Love Sr.  William was a native of Eunice, La where he attended North Elementary School and graduated from Charles Drew High School in 1957. He also attended Grambling State University. William accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Reverend Joshua G. Frank Sr.

William met and married Helen Ann Wright & was married 20 plus years until he departed this life. William was a loving, caring & devoted father to his children.  He was affectionately known as "LIL Bro", Bill, & Uncle Lil Bro to all who knew him. He was a hard worker, well respected & lived a long prosperous life, which he enjoyed to the fullest.

He is survived by his wife Helen Ann Wright Love of Abbeville, La 8 children: Leon Love of Austin, Tx., Cherly (Gavens) Stevens of Eunice, La., Joann (James) Hollis of Bryan, Tx., Marie Love, Lena Moore, Jewel Billington all of Houston, TX., Lakisha (Robert) Woods of Carrollton, Tx., & Guy Love of Port Allen, La., 15 grandchildren, his extended family which included Erinn, Patrick, Braelee & Brylee Batiste (who he dearly loved & raised as his own), 24 great grandchildren, life long friends: Ada Love, Theresa Love, & Judith Williams, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.

Preceding him in death, his mother Emma B. Mason, father Leon C. Love Sr. sisters: Ethelrine Johnson-Bean, Jewel Mae Gordon, Vera Lois Jacobis, & Clara Bell Johnson; one step-daughter Erinn Newbill Batiste.
